Privacy Policy — Redline

1. Who We Are

Redline ("we", "us", "our") is a design feedback and client approval tool for freelancers. We operate the service available at redlineit.co. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@redlineit.co.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth). We do not collect your name or any other personal details at sign-up.

Project and feedback data

We store the project URLs, design links, comments, replies, pin positions, screenshots, and file attachments that you and your clients submit through the platform.

Client reviewer information

Clients who access a review link are asked to provide a display name before leaving feedback. We store this name alongside their comments and approvals. Clients do not create accounts and we do not collect their email addresses.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. Stripe may collect and store payment information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We receive only a subscription status and a Stripe customer ID.

Usage data

We may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, IP address, and pages visited to operate and improve the service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the Redline service
To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset)
To respond to support requests sent to our email
To monitor for abuse and maintain platform security
To improve and develop new features

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

Supabase

We use Supabase to store application data and authenticate users. Data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process subscription payments. Your payment details are handled directly by Stripe and governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g. Stripe transaction records).

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage solely to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings, though doing so will log you out.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
Data portability

8. Children's Privacy

Redline is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Redline after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
